A Must Song for Weddings

This song is very dear to my heart. When I first heard the song, I instantly knew that this will be played in my wedding.

What made me fell in love with the song is its lyrics. When you found that somebody to share the rest of your life with, that somebody will soon become your "home". No matter where you'll be, his heart, his love will be your "home". That's how I felt when I met my husband.

Home is not only a place where you live, but it is a place where love is found and felt. A place where one feels loved and comforted. My husband is my "home" because in his heart, I found the love that gets me through all the hardships in life. This song is best for weddings because when you get married, the one that your choose to spend the rest of your life with will considered your "home".

My Dream Wedding Song

The singer, Ms. Lea Salonga, is a very talented Filipino singer, a well-known broadway actress having been cast in Les Miserables and Miss Saigon to name a few. She sang this song as a wedding vow to her husband on their wedding day. She explained the story of the song as "about a bride who, as she walks down the aisle, remembers her past as she heads towards her future".

The song is very heartwarming, brings out how the bride feels as she walks down the aisle. The melody is great as a bridal march too. As I listened through the song, I was imagining what it would be like if I sang that song while I was walking down the aisle. Yes, it would have been emotional but definitely it will be magical.

Here is the song - Two Words
(Lyrics by Freddie Santos, Music by Louie Ocampo and Arranged by Gerard Salonga)

My Wedding Processional Song

A bridal march announces the entrance of the bride. The bride who is apparently the main attraction of the event (sorry grooms). Every bride wants to have a memorable and maybe for some an emotional bridal march. Where every step taken down the aisle brings back fond memories of the two couple tying the knot.

When I was preparing for our wedding, I wanted my bridal march to be dramatic. My first option was, as soon as I enter the church doors, I will pause and sing one stanza of a Filipino wedding song then have my husband sing the second stanza while I continue my walk down the aisle. But because I know myself and how emotional I could get sometimes, I am scared to think that I might choke on the lyrics of the song because of my tears. So I immediately dumped that first option and opted for a song that still brought tears in my eyes every time I listened to it. The song was Truly by Lionel Riche. The song speaks so much about love and hearing how my husband sang it to me once, just melted my heart. The melody of the song is so perfect for a bridal march.

Anyway, here is the video of Truly by Lionel Riche. See if you can picture yourself walking down the aisle with this song.

To The Best Wedding Ceremony Songs

I love weddings! So much so that I become a wedding singer so that I can attend in as many weddings as I possibly wanted.

Being a wedding singer and having been a bride myself, I very well know the importance of the wedding songs. Not only the weddings songs to be played at the church or ceremony but also at the reception. The music sets the mood of the event and because weddings symbolizes the unity of two people in love, it is but fitting that the wedding songs speak about love.

This blog is all about the best selection of wedding songs you can ever imagine. I will make suggestions what songs to play on the processional, the father-daughter dance, the first dance of the newly weds and many others. Hope my selections of the best wedding songs will make your wedding day more memorable.
